Terms of use
These terms cover use of The Guru Guide by visitors, account holders, practitioners, and anyone claiming or managing a listing.
Using The Guru Guide
The Guru Guide is a UK wellness directory for discovering practitioners and managing practitioner listings.
By using the site, creating an account, claiming a listing, or managing a business profile, you agree to use the platform lawfully and in line with these terms.
No medical advice
The Guru Guide is a directory and discovery platform. We do not provide medical, clinical, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice.
Visitors should make their own checks before booking or working with a practitioner, especially where health, wellbeing, pregnancy, medication, injury, or mental health concerns are involved.
Practitioner listings
Practitioners are responsible for keeping listing information accurate, lawful, current, and not misleading.
You must only claim, create, or manage a listing where you have authority to represent that business or practitioner.
We may review, edit, reject, suspend, or remove listings where needed for quality, safety, legal, or platform integrity reasons.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for activity carried out through your account.
We may require email verification or other checks before allowing listing management, claim approval, or paid feature access.
Plans and payments
Paid account membership may unlock additional profile features, visibility, or management options described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid access depends on confirmed payment or subscription status from the payment processor.
Prices, plan features, and availability may change, but changes will not intentionally remove paid access already confirmed for the active billing period.
Content standards
You must not upload or submit content that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, misleading, infringing, spammy, or harmful.
You must not make claims that require regulatory, professional, or clinical substantiation unless you hold the necessary qualifications, evidence, permissions, and legal right to make them.
Customer reviews must follow the Review Policy. Reviews may be moderated, returned for changes, rejected, or removed, but businesses cannot pay to suppress a review or decide which reviews are published.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the platform reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature will always remain available.
We may update the platform, change features, or correct content where needed to improve the service or meet operational requirements.
Liability
The site is provided on an as-is basis. We are not responsible for practitioner services, visitor decisions, third-party websites, or transactions arranged outside the platform.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
